Christian Quesada van Beresteyn, founder of the studio, obtained his architecture degree in 2005 at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam, after spending a year in 1999 studying in Barcelona at the Universidad Internacional de Cataluña.
His passion for architecture developed at an early age, and in 1996 he began his career as an architect at leading firms such as Mecanoo, Cloud 9 (Barcelona), Meyer en Van Schooten, and Paul de Ruiter Architects. There he gained extensive experience with diverse and complex projects, with particular focus on detailing and sustainability. From 2007 to 2009 he was co-founder and partner of QBK Architects in Amsterdam, before establishing his own practice, qb studio. A true team player, he consistently seeks the right solution for each challenge. With a keen eye for efficiency, he manages to deliver powerful and unexpected results with minimal resources and costs.
